Is my driving license valid or we need to make international one?

Any valid driver’s license that is accepted on the territory of Georgia is acceptable, provided it is issued in the Latin alphabet and has no territorial restrictions.

We are not responsible for the validity of the driver’s license. If the driver’s license is issued in any other language, a notarized translation is required for use on the territory of Georgia.

We will attempt to assist with the translation process of the driver’s license, but this does not constitute our obligation.

The costs of the notarized translation of the driver’s license, including notary and translator fees, shall be borne by the Car Renter and are not included in the rental price.

What are the Age restrictions & How many drivers can drive a vehicle?

Any driver which is 21 year’s old and has 1 year of driving experience is automatically insured with all conditions listed below.

Any additional driver is automatically insured under same conditions in case if primary driver is present in the vehicle.

How to Book your Vehicle?

The booking can be done through:

You can make an Online reservation by checking the available vehicle according to the date and location on the front page http:// carrental.georgiaadventureclub.com and make a online reservation. Reservation is free of charge and you can change or cancel it anytime you like.

If you have any questions regarding reservation or rental period can be put in the Notes field and will be answered ASAP.

Email reservation ( info@georgiaadventureclu.com ) you can send you request and we will make a reservation for you.

Phone reservation are accepted on our 24/7 service hotline ( + ) 

We recommend you to look through available vehicles for the rental period by according to the date and location before making email or phone reservation. During the summer season we strongly advise to reserve a vehicle online before making a mail or a phone confirmation.


How to change the Booking?

A booking can be changed up to 24 hours before the start of the rental with no additional fees or charges.

Any payment already made towards the rental will be fully refunded except the charges applied by the bank or other money transfer system.

How to cancel the Booking?

A booking can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the start of the rental with no additional fees or charges.

Any payment already made towards the rental will be fully refunded except the charges applied by the bank or other money transfer system.

Changes or cancellation made by any reason not dependent on the renter (as flight delay or any other) will be accepted anytime (including due time) without additional charges for change or a cancellation.

* Exception: Credit card payments can be refunded with no additional charges within 2 weeks after the payment, in case of booking cancellation 2 weeks later bank transfer fee of 35 EUR will apply for a booking cancellation

 

What are payment conditions for the Booking?

Any booking is free of charge and doesn’t obligate to make any prepayment before arrival.

With  renter still gets a full guarantee of the booked vehicle simply by clicking an activation link in reservation email.

-Full rental Payment

Full payment must be done on the first day of the rent to be applied automatically applied for a no deposit rental. In case of 50/50 payment any of the vehicles will be charged from 200 to 500 EUR deposit according to the vehicle.

-No deposit policy

In case of the full payment of the rental on the first day renter will be charged zero deposit and none of the credit card funds are blocked for the rental period.

 Exceptions – *There are some vehicles that require a fixed Deposit, The sum of the deposit is indicated below the rental price.

 

What is included in the rental price?

Vehicle Insurance

Unlimited mileage with every vehicle for any rental period, so you never have to count the kilometers you drive.

Which is a payment currency?

In Georgia all payments are done in GEL (Georgian Lari), but if you pay with cash and you have any other currency (EUR, USD, GBP) we will gladly help to exchange it according to official exchange rate of National Bank of Georgia for the day of payment.

How can I pay for the vehicle?

Payment methods:

Cash, which we give you a receipt for (can be done at start of the rent)

We issue an invoice which you can pay through the bank (must be requested by email and paid at least 1 week before the start of the rent)

Credit card payment – In case of credit card payment additional payment system charge up to 3.5% is added to the rental price

 

What is the Hourly Difference?

The Hourly Difference is a  difference between your pickup and drop-off time which charges an extra hours (Price of each Hour is a Daily price divided by 24)  Difference of 3 or less hours is free of charge,  difference of less than 10 hours charged as half day price, difference of 10 or more hours is charged as an extra day.

Can I pick-up/Drop-off the car from another location, that is not mentioned in the booking?

Yes, you can pick-up/drop-off the car from any location you like, but it will be charged with transfer fee up to 79 EUR (one way) depending on the distance. (within the city – free of charge, 79 – Delivery to 450 km distance)

Why do some cars show Transfer Fees besides a Rental Price?

If the car is located in the other city rental, system shows the price and the transfer fee to get the vehicle to desired location.

Can I get Airport Pick-up and Drop-off since I need the car right from the Airport?

Yes, you get Airport transfer within the city – free of charge according to your flight times. The rental contract and an invoice for the payment will be delivered to the airport directly and you will not have to come to the office.

How I will find you at the airport? How should we get the car when we arrive? Will somebody be waiting for us?

We mark your flight details so the car will be delivered at the airport, pay attention to the sign before the exit from the airport it will have your name on it. In case you can’t find the delivery person, you can call our hotline +(995) 

Can we collect and return the car out of office working hours?

Standard office open hours are 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Already pre-booked vehicles can be collected from the office 24/7 upon request without any additional charge.

Delivery and Collection Service is 24/7 delivery and pick-up service are charged a standard delivery fee not dependent on working hours or holidays.

What is the One Way rental condition?

National One-Way Rentals are prices are calculated automatically during when you search for available vehicle according to the date and location.

International Crossing of the border can be done with all vehicles, but pickup and drop off location must the territory of the same country.

 

What are the insurance conditions?

100% Insurance – Vehicle, in case of an accident of your own fault

100% Insurance – Vehicle in case of damage by any third party

100% Insurance – Vehicle in case of any damage by fire, theft or any other damage caused by a third party

100% – Damage to a third party (no matter whose fault is the accident), in limit of $50 000 – 100,000

100% – All accessories (mirrors, glasses etc. ,  in case of Super cover insurance)

Important: Passenger insurance is not included as it is obligatory to have personal travel insurance during the entry to Georgia. Passenger insurance can be purchased separately upon request.

Passenger Insurance –  Please note, our insurance includes the vehicle insurance only not a passenger insurance.

What we recommend is to take a good travel insurance package when you will be leaving to Georgia it usually has a better terms and coverage than any Georgian one.

 * Any damage or loss made to passengers or to any property inside the vehicle during an accident or rental period are not covered by insurance and not refundable by  any party. We advise to apply for travel insurance in your home country for personal and item insurance if needed.

*Tires damaged during driving are not considered as an accidental damage by any insurance company in Georgia. Payment for the City / Highway Cars tires are charged 60 EUR each tire, for Easy Off-Road Car tires are charged 100 EUR each tire, for Difficult Off-road Cars tires are charged 150 EUR each tire.

 

What is the third party insurance?

The third party insurance includes any damage done to anything which is outside your vehicle. It can be a car, a lamp post or a person doesn’t matter.

If you make a damage to a person you will be responsible for it from the point of view of law also, maybe it will be a small fund or whatever the court decides depending on the damage. But usually this kind of situations are decided toward the tourists more than in Europe for example. We ourselves never had this issue, but heard of situations where the foreigners were treated with minimum liability possible by law.

 

How many drivers are included in price? Do I have to add additional drivers to an insurance?

Every person from age of 21 years and 1 year driving experience can drive the vehicle and is automatically insured under same terms only if renter is located inside the vehicle. Renter cannot pass the vehicle to another party without his presence.

How does insurance work for Armenia?

We have 100 % insurance which is active in Armenia too, but during crossing of the border you have to take additional minimum obligatory insurance which costs approximately 20-30$. If you do have an accident in Armenia we advise you to use our insurance not the one you buy at the border as it has much better terms.

In case of any malfunction in the car without an accident what is the replacement policy?

If the malfunction happens we either repair the broken part or replace the car with another vehicle. Time needed for a car change depends on the location of the broken vehicle and closest available car.

In case of accident, how much we have to pay?

You don’t have to pay anything for damage the rented vehicle, Insurance company covered 100%.

If the accident is your fault and you have damaged other property (car) also, the limit that insurance pays to the other damaged party is 50,000 USD, also police will give you a fine of 250 GEL for the accident which is approximately 100 EUR.

What is a mileage limitation?

You get unlimited mileage with every vehicle for any rental period, so you never have to count the kilometers you drive.

What kind of fuel and petrol stations are recommended for the car?

Almost all our cars use Petrol. There are 3 types of petrol in Georgia 1. Regular (92oct), 2. Premium (95oct), 3. Super (98oct). We strongly recommend filling up the Premium (95oct) petrol in Brand stations as Wissol, Rompetrol, Gulf Socar or Lukoil as our customers had various problems with fuel quality in small stations up the mountain regions. There is almost no price difference between different types of petrol and fuel consumption of the quality gasoline is much less, so you will actually economy on fuel.

How intensive are the Petrol Stations in Georgia?

Petrol stations are available everywhere even in high mountain regions, so you will never need an extra fuel tank. But strongly recommend filling up the Premium (95oct) petrol in Brand stations as Wissol, Rompetrol, Gulf Socar or Lukoil as our customers had various problems with fuel quality in small stations up the mountain regions.

How much is the cost of one full tank of petrol and how many Kilometers the car usually goes?

Average fuel tank of 4×4 vehicle is 70 liters and average fuel consumption 14 km/L so you can go through about 400 km with a full tank.

Which GPS navigator is the best to use in Georgia?

There is no very good GPS navigators in Georgia at all, the only model that does exists is Garmin Nuvi, it’s not a very user friendly navigator, but does show the map and you can navigate with it. What we recommend is not spending any money on it at all, if you have any kind of smartphone just use google maps when you have a connection with internet and also download “Maps.Me” application and a map of Georgia (also free) for offline use.

Local sim card you can get directly at the Tbilisi airport in Geocell office or Kutaisi airport at Beeline office (24/7 service) and just buy 5 EUR worth of internet. Maps me application can also be used in Armenia, Georgian GPS navigators not.

 

Is the Child seat obligatory in Georgia?

No, the child seat is not obligatory in Georgia, but you still can rent it (during the booking process please specify kilograms in notes section)

Where can I get local Sim Card?

You can get the free local sim directly at the airport in Geocell  office (24/7 service) and just buy 5 EUR worth of internet.

What are Cross Border Rentals & Territorial Restrictions?

Cross Border Rentals at this point are allowed only to Armenia And Azerbaijan.

Cross border rentals require a special bilingual permit issued by a notary and charged 89 EUR for any amount of days abroad. 

Please note that issuing a permit by a notary requires one working day and can be done before the arrival upon request by sending a copy of the passport of the renter by email.

Can I go to Armenia, Turkey and Azerbaijan?

It is possible to take our vehicles abroad, but to travel to Armenia And Azerbaijan you need a special permit (bilingual) approved by a notary. It costs 89 EUR to issue this document and it can be done before your arrival if you send us a copy of your passport. 

Turkey does not allow the drivers with third party cars to cross the border. You should own a car – to cross the border of Turkey. So, you can not cross the border of Turkey with rented car.

Also you can not take the car to Iran and Russia.

And the conflict zones – South Ossetia and Apkhazia.

Can I leave the vehicle abroad?

It’s not possible to drop-off our vehicle abroad as for according to the law it’s prohibited to cross the border and leave the car in the territory of another country. If you have to leave the car in another country even the official owner of the vehicle will not be able to bring it back through the border, so in case you have to leave the country by any emergency you have to primarily get the car at least to the border where we can meet you to take over the vehicle.

Can I go to Osetia, Apkhazia or Nagorniy Karabakh?

These are conflict zones so at the moment borders are closed and it’s not possible to get there with a rented vehicle. Theoretically it is possible to cross these borders without a vehicle, but we strongly recommend reading full information about the procedure as it’s considered dangerous to cross these territories.

Do the Crossing Border Permit include all people in the car or it is only for one person?

The Crossing border Permit is issued for the vehicle and one specific driver. This driver can go through the border and the same driver has to bring back the car back through the border. After the border control any driver that is 21 years old and has 1 year of driving experience can drive the car and be insured under same terms as primary driver.

What is the timetable of office in order to pick up and drop off the car?

Booked vehicles can be picked up and dropped off 24/7 any day anytime. If your booking time is out of working hours somebody will be waiting for you at the office to give or take back the vehicle.

What type of tires are the vehicles equipped with?

All vehicles are equipped with all season tires. In winter season 4×4 vehicles are changed to winter tires while standard ones stay at all season ones.

What are the parking policies in Georgia?

There are parking areas in Tbilisi (City Park – painted on the streets). All our vehicles have free unlimited parking in any city parking. In other cities parking should be not a problem as well. Generally it’s safe to park any car anywhere, as first of all you have a 100% insurance for it and also generally there are no incidents of stealing or robbing the cars at all.

Can I drive minibus and 8+seats vehicle?

9 person vehicle needs D category driving license to drive it yourself that’s why Sprinter vehicles from any provider usually come with their drivers and are rented out only with a driver assista

Can I get the driver assistance service?

Our driver’s assistance costs 29 EUR per day in case you provide him with accommodation yourself, also if you are staying in Tbilisi (or other city you rented the vehicle in). Another option is 59 EUR per day if you wish him to take care of his accommodation himself. All our drivers speak at least basic English and Russian languages. If you wish your driver to have more language skills, please indicate it in notes section during the booking process.

Which options do we have for listening music ? Is there any USB interface on the dashboard or any cable jack input?

The standard package is CD, USB radio transmitter and Radio.

Do you offer Standard Left-hand drive cars, or you have right-hand drive cars?

Most of our vehicles are standard, left-hand drive cars. But these are few exceptions, right hand drive vehicles are marked (RHD). For ex. Mitsubishi Delica (RHD) is a right hand drive vehicle.

How much do I pay for additional accessories?
