Welcome to the website of Georgia Adventure Club car rental. By using our services, you accept the following Terms and Conditions, designed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and hassle-free rental experience for all our customers.
Driver Requirements and Qualifications
- Driving License: Any valid driving license containing: 1. Full name, 2. Age, 3. Expiration date and category, written in Latin or Cyrillic characters, is valid in Georgia for 1 year from the date of arrival and is accepted by the rental company.
- Translation Requirements: If the document is issued in an alphabet other than Latin or Cyrillic, the Lessee is required to provide an official notarized translation at their own expense. The Lessor reserves the right to refuse the vehicle if these requirements are not met.
- It is recommended to hold an International Driving Permit (IDP), as some documents may lack required data and cannot be used even after translation.
- Age Restrictions: Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
Booking, Changes, and Cancellations
- Booking a Vehicle: Reservations can be made online, via email, or by phone/WhatsApp (no prepayment required).
- Booking Changes: Free changes are possible up to 24 hours before the rental starts via email or phone.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy: * Reservations canceled more than 48 hours before the rental starts are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid (excluding any non-refundable service fees or bank costs).
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the rental starts are non-refundable.
- If the Lessor cancels the reservation, the Client is entitled to a 100% refund.
Payment Terms and Methods
- No Prepayment for Online Bookings: Booking does not require an advance payment.
- Payment upon Pickup: Credit card payments are processed when picking up the vehicle. For “No Deposit” rentals, full payment is required on the first day of rental.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, debit/credit cards (with a 3.5% surcharge), and bank transfers. Payments in GEL are processed according to the official exchange rate; transfers can be made in EUR or USD.
- Fuel Policy (Full-to-Full): The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at pickup, the Lessee will be charged for the missing fuel plus a refueling service fee.
Security Deposit and Additional Fees
- No Deposit Policy: All rentals are deposit-free, except for a few premium vehicles requiring a deposit, as indicated by the system during booking.
- Damage and Loss Fees: A fee of 60 EUR applies for each damaged tire (off-road only); tires damaged on asphalt roads are covered by insurance. A fee of 100 EUR applies for lost keys. These costs are not covered by insurance.
- Fine Payment Card Fee: In case of paying traffic fines using a payment card at the Lessor’s terminal, an additional bank fee of 22% may be charged.
Insurance Coverage
- Casco Insurance: 100% full Casco insurance in case of accident, theft, fire, or damage caused to third parties. Includes TPL up to $50,000 USD and all additional vehicle components with no deductible or excess.
- Exclusions: Personal belongings left in the vehicle are not covered, nor is passenger insurance, which according to Georgian law should be covered by individual travel insurance.
Vehicle Use and Territorial Restrictions
- Vehicle Categories:
- City / Highway – No off-road driving permitted.
- Easy Off-Road – Allowed on all roads except for the Tusheti region and Vashlovani protected areas. Using a vehicle not intended for specific terrain results in full liability for the Lessee for any damage.
- Difficult Off-Road – Allowed on all official roads in Georgia.
- Prohibited Territories: None of our vehicles may enter occupied territories (Abkhazia and South Ossetia).
- Cross-Border Rental: Allowed to Armenia after obtaining special permission and additional insurance. Notarial permission and border crossing fees can be arranged during booking for a fee of 90 EUR per country.
Service and Emergency Assistance
- Lessee’s Obligations: Immediate reporting of vehicle issues to avoid further damage and for safety reasons.
- Company Support: Provision of a replacement vehicle in case of breakdown or fault within Georgia and neighboring countries.
Rental Period and Return Policy
- Timely Return: Late return fees range from 50% of the daily rate (3–8 hours delay) to double the daily rate for delays exceeding 8 hours, unless otherwise agreed.
- Early Return: A 40% refund for unused days in case of early vehicle return. No refund is provided if the vehicle is returned less than 24 hours early.
- 24/7 Delivery and Pickup: Free delivery to any location in the city or the airport for pre-booked vehicles. The vehicle will be handed over at the time specified in the booking at no extra charge.
Fines and Alcohol Policy
- Traffic Fines: The Lessee is responsible for all traffic and parking fines incurred during the rental. Payment documentation will be provided.
- Alcohol Policy: * The legal blood alcohol limit in Georgia is 0.3 ppm.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs results in immediate termination of the rental agreement, vehicle confiscation by state authorities, a contractual penalty of 500 EUR payable to GEORGIA ADVENTURE CLUB, and a 6-month license suspension by the Georgian police.
Campers and Camping Equipment
- Usage: Camping vehicles may travel on unofficial roads in Georgia (lakes, forest roads, etc.). Any existing road in parks or a clear, visible car track is considered a road covered by insurance.
- Insurance and Faults: Damages incurred on unofficial roads are not covered by insurance and must be paid for by the client. In case of a breakdown in restricted areas, the Lessee is responsible for vehicle replacement, and the delivery cost for a replacement vehicle is 0.5 EUR per kilometer from Tbilisi.
- Camping Equipment: Camping equipment provided with the vehicle is not covered by insurance. Any loss or damage must be covered by the client according to the annex to the rental agreement (equipment cost only, no additional penalties).
